Who we are

What we collect

Account application. Legal business or institution name, entity type, business registration or tax identification number, business website, applicant name and job title, business email address, business phone number, business shipping address, field of research, and your description of the intended application.

Orders. What you ordered, lot numbers supplied, amounts, dates, delivery address and delivery confirmation.

Correspondence. Emails and messages you send us, and our replies.

Technical. Standard web server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested.

Payment information

Card details are collected and processed by our payment processor. We do not receive or store full card numbers. We see only the information needed to identify a transaction, such as the last four digits and the authorisation result.

Why we collect it

• to verify that an applicant is a qualified buyer and a real organisation
• to decide whether to accept an order
• to fulfil, ship and track orders
• to keep the supply and lot records expected of a supplier of research materials
• to answer enquiries and resolve claims
• to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations

Who we share it with

Our payment processor, our shipping carriers, and service providers acting on our instructions, such as hosting and email providers. We may disclose information where required by law or to respond to a lawful request.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

• Account and order records: 7 years after your last order, for tax, accounting and supply records
• Correspondence: 2 years
• Web server logs: 90 days

We keep records longer only where a legal obligation or an open dispute requires it.

Your rights

California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and may ask what we have disclosed. We will respond within the period the law allows. Some records must be retained despite a deletion request, and we will say so if that applies.

What not to send us

Do not send medical information, government identification documents, or payment card details by email. We do not need them, we do not ask for them, and we will not keep them.

Cookies

The site uses cookies necessary for accounts, sessions and checkout. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site. We will update this section before adding any analytics or advertising cookies.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS and account access requires a password. No system is perfectly secure; tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email.
